The Athens Summit 2009 is organised by the Institute for Climate and Energy Security in association with the Financial Times Global Events and C&C International Group of Companies.

The Institute for Climate and Energy Security is an enabler of effective initiatives and capacity building for climate and energy security.
They identify, enable and strengthen initiatives for global climate and energy security. Relying on broad scientific consensus they aim to bring the many diverse communities (NGOs, Governments and Decision Makers, Leaders of Business, Academia) into effective deliberation and act as a catalyst of joint actions. The primary geographic focus of their activity is in Southeast Europe and the Mediterranean.
