We are proud to present the inaugural Global Private Banking Awards awarded by The Banker and Professional Wealth Management magazines, celebrating excellence in wealth management.
Private banks and wealth managers are facing enormous challenges as they have seen their profits plummet in the wake of huge market losses, investment scandals and a decline in world wealth, as well as increased allocation to lower margin asset classes. The downturn has profoundly shaken the trust and confidence that high net worth investors have in their wealth managers. With increased client demand for transparency in all aspects of the investment process and performance, a growing regulatory compliance burden and the need to control costs, wealth managers will be judged on their ability to adapt their business model to the new world order, generate consistent portfolio performance and deliver trusted advice to their customers.
We can recognise there are many facets of private banking and by drawing together the expertise from both The Banker and Professional Wealth Management magazines, we feel these inaugural Global Private Banking Awards cover the full 360 degrees of the business and will become a true benchmark in the often fragmented world of wealth management.
The presentation ceremony will be in English and will take place at the Hotel President Wilson, Geneva on the 27th of October 2009 from 6.30pm.
