Mr. Simsek began his career as senior economist for the US Embassy in Ankara before joining UBS in New York in 1997, followed by posts at other banks including Deutsche–Bender Securities in Istanbul and Merrill Lynch in UK. At Merill Lynch, Mr. Simsek was responsible for emerging markets before being appointed Head of Economic and Strategic Research Department for EMEA in 2001. Mr. Simsek then became an M.P. for th AKP and in 2007, was elected to Parliament and appointed as the State Minister in charge of the Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Erkan was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Istanbul Stock Exchange in 2007. He began his career at the ISE in 1994, establishing the International Relations, Research and International Market departments at the ISE as well as the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) which currently has 31 stock exchanges as members. Mr. Erkan was promoted at the ISE as Executive Vice Chairman in 1995. Mr. Erkan served as the General Manager of Ticaret Securities for a short period following his departure from the Istanbul Stock Exchange as Executive Vice Chairman in 2006.

He was also a Board Member of Takasbank (Central Securities Depository, Settlement and Clearing Bank of ISE). Prior to this, Mr. Erkan was the Chief Advisor to the Board of Konya Sugar Company; largest private sector group of companies in sugar refining and agricultural products; to restructure the group’s activities.

After working at various managerial positions at Isbank, Ersin Özince was promoted to the post of Deputy Chief Executive in 1994 and until he became the CEO of Isbank in 1998, his responsibilities encompassed the Treasury, Accounting, Securities, Commercial Loans and the Credit Information and Financial Analysis departments of the Bank.

Mr. Çetin Ali Dönmez started his professional career in the Equity Market at Istanbul Stock Exchange, then took a leading role in the re-organization of the equity market trading system and later in the various stages of transition to the electronic trading project. In 1995, Mr. Dönmez worked as Assistant Manager at Takasbank (the Clearing House) in the establishment of the margin trading and securities lending market.

He then took on the role of ISE Directorate of Futures Market, where he assumed team leadership role in the electronic trading analysis, design and test stages of the futures market. He became the Director of the ISE Futures Market in 1997 and appointed as the Director in 2006.

He left Telecom Italia in 2000 to join - as General Manager of TV Files - the main Venture Capital initiative in Italy: Pino Venture Patners. Then he moved to the Enertad Group (Tadfin) - renewable energy (wind) and diversified activities - in 2002 as General Manager.

There he managed the industrial restructuring plan of the renewable energy Group in financial troubles.

After the completion of the reorganization of the Goup that led to the sales of the listed company Enertad to ERG, he joined, at the beginning of 2007, Cementerie Aldo Barbetti S.p.A. as General Manager.

Cem Ayhan Azak is a Manager of Investment Banking, Turkey at Barclays Capital.
Based in London, he is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s investment banking coverage activities in Turkey.
Prior to his assignment in London, Mr. Azak was a member of the Global Covered Bonds Team at Barclays Capital in Frankfurt. He originated benchmark covered bond issues and marketed them worldwide to institutional investors. He has worked with several central banks and governments in developing their covered bond legislation. Mr. Azak joined Barclays Capital in June 2004 from Credit Suisse First Boston in Frankfurt.
Mr. Azak has served as the President of the European Association of Turkish Academics (EATA) and is a board member of the Liberal Turkish-German Association (LTD). Mr. Azak studied law in Germany and the United States.
