We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Date: Thursday 17th May, 2007
Venue: Mansion House
More than two years after Ukraine’s Orange Revolution and subsequent opening up to the world and the West, the country’s economic performance has regained momentum. Investment into the country has risen substantially. Growth prospects remain very positive. The ministry of Economics forecasts around 8% growth in 2007. According to the International Monetary Fund, “a sustained consumption boom, unleashed by fiscal policy and reinforced by loose credit conditions, has contributed to better-than-expected growth in
2006”. Yet Ukraine’s potential and vast opportunities still need to be better understood by the international investment community. The geopolitical environment and economic policy orientation in particular are surrounded by many questions affecting investment decisions.
In the context of Ukraine’s visit to the United Kingdom, Financial Times Global Events is pleased to announce its hosting of President Yushchenko’s Briefing to the London-based international financial community on the 17th of May 2007.
